There are buses almost hourly but if you miss one you can use the time to go take a look at the nearby Alvalade XXI stadium home to the Sporting CP “know as Sporting Lisbon” soccer club an see where stars like Luis Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo started to play. |

If you’re not a sports’ fan there’s always the shopping centre.
Back on track, after a one hour trip, it’s time to fall in love with Obidos. This romantic medieval village, full of flowers, is beautiful – remember to bring plenty of film.

Resembling an open-air museum, this walled medieval town has been preserved to look like a picture-postcard, with its monuments, narrow winding streets and white-washed houses with windows and terraces full of flowers.
From the main street we are able to access most must see places, apart from admiring the lovely houses and do some shopping, as there are loads of art crafts shops on this street. Most cafes and bars are also located on this street. This is a pedestrian street although sometimes there are some cars passing by.
In any of the small shops we can buy traditional ceramics, wicker baskets, miniature windmills and hand-made embroidery and woollen articles.
The 15th century royal castle that has been converted into an inn, Óbidos seems to go back in time to the days when the Court visited the town.
