The Journey begins

This is the first entry in my journal. I can’t be sure when this trip was made but September must the better choice for it. You can still enjoy the magnificent Portuguese sun and all the best places to go are not as crowded as in July and August.

It is frequently said that the Lisbon Coast is Portugal’s Côte d'Azur, and chic Cascais is fast becoming its San Tropez!

Day 4 –Medieval village of Óbidos

Fall in love with Obidos. This romantic medieval village, full of flowers, is beautiful.

This is a new up market area of Lisbon. The former grounds of the 'Expo 98' were not left to abandonment and are now called 'Nations Park' (Parque das Nações). Used both during the day and at night, it offers numerous attractions

On its narrow and winding streets you'll find the hidden treasure of Alfama and on its steep stairs you will be able to breathe the soul of Lisbon and feel its heart.
